27 Confirmed Cases of Mumps Found at Fordham; One Sick Student Was Never Vaccinated, Despite Contradictory Claims

More than two dozen Fordham students at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center have been found sick with mumps since the first case was recorded on Jan. 12 at Rose Hill, according to a new report from the Department of Health.

And despite reassuring claims from Fordham officials that every student had been vaccinated before arriving to campus, one sick student was found to be unvaccinated, the report reveals. It is unclear what role that may have played in the outbreak.

Fordham officials have not responded to a request for comment.
