WE HAVE CONDOMS! Fordham Law group to host sex health fair

Step aside SAGES!

Fordham’s Law Students for Reproductive Justice is set to host its first spring “Prescribe Fordham” event later this month — an opportunity for students to consult with doctors and receive free contraceptives, including a twelve-month hormonal birth control prescription, organizers told Fordham Daily.

The event will also offer students free HIV testing, and the chance to meet with professionals from Physicians for Reproductive Health and schedule future follow-up visits at clinics in Manhattan and Queens.

Alongside condoms, food and drinks will also be provided.

It will be hosted on Wednesday, April 29 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. (Free Ram Van passes are available to the event upon request. RSVP to prescribeRSVP@gmail.com)

Former Fordham Law student Bridgette Dunlap started the annual “Prescribe Fordham” events in 2011 after becoming frustrated that the University declined to prescribe her birth control. Her efforts have made the front page of The New York Times.
