While all-day entry access to the Walsh gate was said to begin this month, the development has been postponed until February — at the earliest, Public Safety told Fordham Daily.
A shipment of materials used to install a turnstile at the gate — a pivot away from the guard post currently in place — was scheduled to arrive on campus before Christmas, but had not yet arrived as of this week.
“I’ve been advised the shipment should arrive within the next few days and the Systems Integrator approximates at least two weeks to complete the install,” said John Carroll, director of Public Safety.
“Let’s hope the weather cooperates,” he added.
Access to the Walsh gate is currently limited to between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
